Unit Types:
There are currently 12 different military units. Each type has its own unique characteristics and special features.
Peasants:Peasants are good at transporting resources because of their ability to carry more supplies than other soldiers. However, they have very little fighting ability.
Auxiliaries: Auxiliaries are temporary soldiers with very little training, therefore their combat ability is low. However, they are cheap and can be recruited in great numbers very quickly.
Scouts: Scouts are specialized units. They can sneak into enemy territory and gather important intelligence. The more Scouts you dispatch, the higher the quality of intelligence you will receive. They are very quick, but once discovered they will have trouble escaping from the enemy.
Pikemen:Pikemen are equipped with fearsome pikes. They have a strong Attack and will make up the backbone of your army. They are extremely effective against Cavalry.
Legionaries:Legionaries are equipped with a sword and shield. They have strong Defense which makes them effective at blocking long-range attacks.
Archers: Archers are equipped with powerful bows, allowing them to attack from great distances. However, they are defensively weak and vulnerable to close range attacks.
Light Cavalry: Light Cavalry units are extremely fast. When used in sneak attacks and plundering missions, the enemy will not have time to react.
Armored Cavalry: The armor on their horses vastly improves their Defense and allows them to make powerful charges. They can become an integral part of your main strike force.
Transport Wagons: Transport Wagons move slowly and have no combat value, but they can move vast amounts of resources.
Ballistae: Ballistae have a very strong bow which allows them to fire several bolts at once. Their range and destructive capabilities are terrifying to the enemy. However, their movement is extremely slow and this makes them vulnerable to close range attacks.
Battering Rams: Battering Rams are covered in heavy armor which makes them slow but extremely powerful. Their advance is impossible to stop and once they reach a city, they can easily demolish fortifications.
Trebuchets: Trebuchets are able to hurl massive boulders great distances and they can easily destroy the enemy's troops and its fortifications. However, they have trouble causing damage to fast moving troops such as Cavalry units.
